The Space Needle, I recently learned, was one of the many projects to come from the Century 21 Expo of 1962, where people came together and made futuristic objects that at the time were believed to be the stuff of science fiction.
In this photo, you can see Downtown Seattle.
Here's the Space Needle up close. It's funny how, even in the 21st Century, it's still ahead of its time.
Here's the place we stayed at. It was alright, but not the best experience. Mostly because there was nothing to do. This was taken at the Needle's observation deck.
Puget Sound has never looked more vast.
Some more of Downtown Seattle.
At Lake Union, these boats have taken their place for the fireworks show.
Here's almost all of the lake.
Big city + tons of people = big noise!
Told you about the 50th Anniversary thing.
The Space Needle behind the ampitheatre.
This huge thing made of rusted iron overlooked us all at South Lake Union.
This is only a small amount of the people that were there.
I had a great time up there in Seattle. :)
Looks fun! Wish I had a camera so I could take pics of stuff like that too.
